Covenant community reimagines what it means to live and age well in community

On the beautiful spring morning of April 17, 2023, Covenant held an open house at the construction site of the exciting Covenant Wellness Community being built just off 29th avenue and Millwoods Road. The site has undergone a dramatic change since demolition began back in 2022; the foundation has been laid and walls are beginning to take shape.

The open house was an opportunity for community stakeholders and supporters to see firsthand the progress of construction. Covenant’s CEO, Patrick Dumelie, brought greetings and shared the vision for the project. Staff from Covenant Health, Covenant Care, Covenant Living and Covenant Foundation were also on hand. Project partners Rohit and Colliers answered construction and leasing questions. Attendees posed for a drone photo (below) to mark the occasion.

Just blocks from the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in the heart of vibrant Mill Woods, the Covenant wellness community will also feature an integrated seniors continuing care centre, ambulatory care, medical and retail services and vibrant, multi-use housing.
