Community Health Centre block party recap
Under sunny skies on Sept. 28, Covenant Health hosted a hugely successful community block party at the Covenant Health Community Health Centre. The event gave community members the chance to learn about the Community Health Centre — the first phase of the Covenant Wellness Community slated for completion in 2025 — while enjoying food and festivities.
The day kicked off with a delicious complimentary pancake breakfast that fed 270 people — that’s a lot of pancakes! Multicultural performances entertained folks throughout the day, and there was plenty for the kiddos to do with art activities, a scavenger hunt and, of course, a bouncy castle. Local food trucks were on-site as well as information booths featuring future tenants of the health centre.
